  • ½ kilogramsof meat of your choosing (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • Half cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1 egg(large)
  • 2 Tbsp offresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup choppedonion
  • 2-3 cloves of finely minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or as per your taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup or tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup full-fatmilk


  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbspof BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbspof apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1/2 tspsmoked paprika powder
  • 1/4 tspchipotle powder

  • Lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes, , anything that you love on your burger


Making the meatloaf hamburgers patties is quick and easy. Just dump all the ingredients in a bowl and mix it gently with your hands until it is appropriately and thoroughly mixed. If you do not like to use your hands, use a big spoon to mix; however, it is recommended to mix with your hands as you get a better final mixture.

It is better to mix an egg in the mixture as it helps hold everything together, especially if you will cook the meatloaf burger on a grill.

Next, you need to heat a pan over medium heat slowly while adding a little oil. Do not add too much oil as it will affect the taste of the meatloaf burgers. Adding oil helps to prevent the burgers from sticking together. Cook then for about 5 to 6 minutes after putting the patties on the pan. Flip it occasionally to make sure even cooking on both sides. Keep cooking the burgers until they are lightly browned on both sides. It is better to add some brown sugar ketchup on each side as I flip them.

The alternative method is to place the meatloaf patties on a baking sheet and then use an oven. Put the oven at 375 degrees and place the burgers in the oven. Keep the meatloaf burgers inside the oven for about 20 minutes to cook them thoroughly. This saves you from standing by the stove; however, this method takes a longer time.

After the burgers are cooked well, put them on a plate and allow them to cook. Take whole wheat buns, lettuce, tomatoes, freshly cut coriander, mayonnaise, ketchup, and a cheese slice, and then put them all together. You can spice up your burger even more by adding crisps in them or adding a touch of lemon juice and garlic sauce. You can also add your own homemade sauce with them.
