Sometimes, simple is good. Simple is delicious. Simple is adding a cheese slice to your grilled burger, making it just… Perfect!
Everyone has different tastes in burgers, but there are a few key ingredients make it complete. The beef used to make the patty should be 80% meat and 20% fat, and your burger’s buns and toppings should be fresh. Lettuce is a must, and adding a few pickles can bring the extra flavor.
It then all comes down to the sauces. For a grilled cheeseburger, the fewer sauces, the better because you don’t want them to overpower the taste of cheese. Finally, for the star of the show, anything that melts and is gooey is good enough to be added to your burger.
There are two ways to make a grilled cheeseburger: You can use the same old brioche buns or opt for sourdough slices. The former has a little bit of thickness, so we suggest that you place at least two cheese slices in your burger. As for the latter, it’s better to go two because the more, the better. Why not?
Now that you know the basics of a grilled cheeseburger, let’s take a look at the different ways to make it:
Classic Grilled Cheeseburger
First up is a classic grilled cheeseburger. It can be made on the stovetop or grill on your skillet or grill pan. This is one of the easiest beef cheeseburger recipes because it does not require much. You will find all the ingredients in your fridge and pantry. As for the cheese, if you don’t have yellow, you can use white instead. Make sure to turn the grill’s heat to medium, and the patty’s inner temperature should be 135°F.

Final Thoughts
Just because these recipes have the word grilled in them does not mean that you have to fire up your grill. You can make the patties on your stovetop on a grate or in a frying pan. The real star of your cheeseburger is the cheese. So, buy a couple in different flavors and experiment with the sauces you have sitting in your fridge.
